SCHEUMANN STADIUM (FOOTBALL, TRACK, SOCCER) Lafayette Jefferson High School’s Scheumann Stadium seats up to 5,000 visitors at the complex, and the field is designed to accommodate high school football, soccer, and track. A second generation Jeff Broncho, John Scheumann and his family have been loyal and generous supporters of the Jefferson Athletic Department for many years. His vision and commitment to Jeff athletics made possible the construction of Scheumann Stadium. The stadium building is a 2 story structure, consisting of a concessions stand, offices, and restrooms on the first floor. The second floor contains the press box, officials viewing, TV viewing areas, and hospitality space. The building also features a passenger elevator to both levels, as well as access for disabled persons to several levels of the stadium seating areas. The Mike Raisor Athletic Complex also features varied sizes of sport locker rooms and showers, training room, team meeting rooms, office space, laundry, and storage areas. The field surface is a “second generation” artificial turf, and an all-weather track surrounds the playing fields. Separate buildings have been designed to accommodate concessions, restrooms, and ticket booths for the visitors to the facility, along with a large prominent symbolic “Entry Gate” to the field.
