The calm before the storm as we like to call it. Up until Saturday, we only had three winter teams immersed into their schedule. Now we have four with the season opener for boy's basketball happening on Saturday. Lets dive into last weeks competitions... Tuesday, November 21st Lady Bronchos fell in defeat to Seeger 45-39. Despite the loss, the Bronchos had three (3) young players contribute to points for the Bronchos. Sophomore, Da'Niyah Johnson with 19 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 steals. Sophomore, Shaylee Barrett with 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 steal. Freshman, Cambria Marcus with 7 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals. The Broncho swim team split the victory results on Tuesday with Northwestern. The girls team won in a final score of 109-69, while the boys fell in defeat 110-71. Broncho wrestlers began their season with a visit to Twin Lakes. In a final score of 60-18 the wrestlers had many individuals come out on top. Here are the weight class victories: (106) - Parker Barnard won by forfeit (126) - Aldo Baez-Guzman won by forfeit (132) - Collin Osborn won by pin (138) - Jayden Scowden won by pin (144) - John Bush won by pin (157) - Mason Killebrew won by pin (175) - Johnathan Walgamuth won by pin (190) - Paul Walgamuth won by pin (215) - Max Livengood won by pin (285) - O'Neal Grissett won by tech fall Saturday November 25th Boys basketball opened the season versus Indianapolis Metropolitan and came out on top 60-52. The Bronchos were led by Ah'Keem Wilson with 17 points, Devion Penny with 15, and Chris Riley with 13 points off the bench.
