Titans Improve to 2-0 with win over Blackhawk Christian

By Bob Wonnell | Sep 3, 2024 8:38 AM

The Taylor Titans not only battled the Blackhawk Christian Braves, but they also had to battle the elements as the game was ultimately called at the end of the 3rd quarter due to severe weather in the area. At the end of the game, the Titans won 20-14 to start the year off 2-0!! Javionne Harris rushed for 2 touchdowns, passed for another and intercepted 2 passes on defense. For the night, Harris rushed for 144 yards and passed for another 109 yards. Senior RB Jalyn Wooten added 33 yards on the ground as well. The tandem of Harris to sophomore Keyshawn Galloway proved to be lethal again this week, striking on a 91 yard TD pass as time expired in the 1st half to send the Titans to the lockers with a 20-7 halftime lead. The Titan Defense was lights out again all night! The Braves were never able to get much of a rhythm and only accounted for 61 total yards on the evening. The Titans are back in action this Friday, 9-6-24 when they host HHC Conference Rival, the #3 ranked Carroll Cougars! Let's pack Taylor's Memorial Field this Friday and cheer our boys on to a victory!! #GDTBA #Titanpride
