The Taylor Titans Varsity Football Team won their season opening game on Friday 14-8 over the visiting North White Vikings. The Titans trailed 8-0 heading into the 4th quarter and rolled off 14 unanswered points in the final quarter to win the game in front of a raucous Titan home crowd!! Leading the way for the Titans offensive attack was Junior Javionne Harris who passed for 207 yards and 2 TD's. Sophomore Keyshawn Galloway had 3 receptions for 188 yards and 2 monster TD's, one of which was 95 yards in length!! The Titans defense was lights out all night only surrendering 8 points on the evening and never allowing the Vikings to get into much of a rhythm. Friday was also Football and cheer senior night. Our Titan Football team honored 7 seniors: Elijah Brumley, Britten Dillon, Elijah Flynn, Cassius Gates, Nathan Spray, Callen Stark & Jalyn Wooten. Our Titan Cheerleading team also honored 7 seniors: Amelia Collins, Bella Dougan, Lizzie Moody, Sheyli Nieves, MaKynzi Reed, Brinn Saylor, Ma'Leigha Smith Thank you seniors for all of your hard work, commitment and dedication to your teams and Taylor High School!! The Titans are back in action Friday, when they travel to Ft. Wayne Blackhawk. Kick-off is at 7:30 PM. Go Titans!!!
