🎾 RED DEVILS TENNIS | HARRICK'S OUTSTANDING SEASON COMES TO AN END XANDER HARRICK FINISHES 18-3! Richmond's Xander Harrick saw his impressive postseason run come to an end Wednesday in a hard-fought battle against Hagerstown's Alex Tinkle at Mt. Vernon High School in Fortville. FINAL RESULT Alex Tinkle (Hagerstown) def. Xander Harrick (Richmond)\ 6-1, 7-5 After a difficult opening set, Harrick showed the determination and competitive spirit that defined his season. Trailing 3-5 in the second set, Xander battled back to 4-5 before saving TWO MATCH POINTS to even the score at 5-5. The battle was far from over. Down 5-6, Harrick saved FOUR MORE MATCH POINTS and twice had opportunities to force a tiebreaker at 6-6. Despite his incredible effort, Tinkle eventually secured the final game to take the match. SIX MATCH POINTS SAVED! It was a remarkable display of resilience and determination against one of East Central Indiana's strongest players. AN OUTSTANDING SEASON Xander Harrick finishes the 2026 season with an exceptional 18-3 record at No. 1 singles. Throughout the season, Harrick consistently led the Red Devils with outstanding performances, including victories in both rounds of the team sectional and an impressive 6-0, 6-0 victory over Shenandoah's Colton Gift in the opening round of individual postseason competition. While the final result wasn't what he hoped for, Xander's accomplishments and competitive spirit made this a season to remember.
