MEET DAY | WAYNE COUNTY INVITATIONAL It’s championship race day in Wayne County! Richmond Boys and Girls Cross Country return to their home course this morning for the 2026 Wayne County Invitational at the IU East Cross Country Course. Saturday, September 5 IU East Cross Country Course RACE SCHEDULE - 9:00 AM – Middle School 3K - 9:30 AM – Girls Varsity 5K - 10:00 AM – Boys Varsity 5K Awards ceremony to follow behind Hayes Hall. The Richmond boys enter the meet with plenty of momentum after winning back-to-back team championships at the Richmond Hare & Hound Invitational and the Large School Division of the Rushville Classic. Boys are looking to win their fifth straight championship. Cale Newton has also won back-to-back individual races, including the overall championship at the Rushville Classic. The Richmond girls have put together a strong start of their own, finishing 3rd at the Hare & Hound and 4th in the Large School Division at Rushville.
