We are excited to announce the addition of Shane Turnipseed to Northwestern as our new Head Football Coach and Weight Room Coordinator. Coach Turnipseed brings a wealth of experience, passion, and leadership that undoubtedly fits well with our weight room and football programs. Coach Turnipseed philosophy aligns well with our mission of fostering growth, unity, and excellence within our athletic programs. He is eager to bring his knowledge, discipline, and vision to Northwestern. With nine years at Lafayette Jefferson, Coach Turnipseed played a pivotal role in transforming the football program. As Co-Offensive Coordinator, he led one of the top offenses in Indiana’s 6A division, while also excelling as Special Teams Coordinator. Beyond football, Coach Turnipseed served as Head Boys Track Coach at Lafayette Jefferson. His dedication to teaching life skills, building strong relationships, and promoting athletes both on and off the field is a hallmark of his leadership. We look forward to the next chapter for our football program under his leadership.
