The Northfield Girls Golf team officially started their season on Tuesday morning as they traveled to Maple Grove Golf Course to play in the Huntington Invitational. The girls played very well for their first tournament of the season with only 2 practices before then. The Norse shot a 401, which put them in 3rd place overall for the day out of 12 other really competitive schools. Leading the way for the Norse was Addy Sorg shooting a 93, followed by Ayla Dale with a 100. Vivian Haupert came out strong for the Norse for her first ever match and shot an impressive 102. Montgomrie Dawes also had a great day on the course with a 106 and rounding out the invite was Emma Wilson with a 119. Great job ladies! The Lady Norse are now 10-2 to kickoff the season. The Lady Norse return to action Thursday, August 7, as they head to Sycamore Golf Club to play in the Manchester Invitational starting at 5pm.
