Norsemen Send Six to Regionals While Breaking Records

Two Norsemen claimed individual championships; Senior Kameron Pratt and Sophomore Eli Gahl won the 144-pound and 150-pound weight classes, respectively. Both Pratt and Gahl marked terrific achievements as well. Pratt won his 100th career varsity win in the semifinals and finished the day with 101. Gahl earned 41 seasonal wins, breaking Northfield's long-standing record of 40. Juniors Isaac Stakeman and Tayten Barlow finished in second place. Junior Brayden Rice and Freshman Cooper Good placed 3rd, punching their tickets to Regionals. This is Stakeman and Rice's first trip to Regional after being alternates during their freshman and sophomore seasons. Placing 5th Sophomores Rylan Turner and Cail Dunphy are alternates for Regionals. The Norsemen wrapped up the 2024-2025 noteworthy season with a record of 30-5. Regionals is back at Peru High School next Saturday; wrestling starts at 9:00 am.
