7th Loses Close One, Custer leads 8th Grade with Career High

The Lady Norse junior high took on Wabash on Thursday night. Starting out with a very close game, the Lady Norse 7th grade fell to the Apaches 17-27. Leading the way for the Norse was Addy Hawkens with 8 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals. Followed by Bristal Foust with 5 points, 1 rebound. Elaina Harrington had 2 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 assist. Cheyanne Wells rounded out the scoring with 2 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal. Maguire Dyson also cipped in 3 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 1 steal. The 8th grade Lady Norse defeated the Apaches 44-7. The Norse came out agressive on defense which led to a shooting clinic on the other end. Avery Custer took charge for the Norse as she had a career high 16 points which included an impressive 4 three pointers on the night. She also chipped in with 2 rebounds and 2 assist. Vivian Rife had a great overall night with 8 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals. Followed by Kassidy Cartwright with 6 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist. Others scoring for the Norse were: Gemma Haupert - 6 points, 6 rebounds, 1 steal Tenley Kuhn - 4 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 assists Miranda Meyer - 2 points, 1 rebound, 3 steals, 1 assist Bella Schultz - 2 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals The Norse look to keep the momentum going as they head to Warsaw on Saturday for the Warsaw Classic.
