Three Lady Norsemen, in a rare and remarkable feat, competed in the first IHSAA-sanctioned girls' wrestling regional at Rochester High School on Friday. Two of these exceptional athletes, Senior Ella Gahl and Sophomore Amarah Frieden, secured their spots in the 2005 State Finals by winning their first two matches, each with a pin. Ella's outstanding performance of 4-0 on the day earned her the 155lbs Regional Championship, while Amarah's 2-2 record placed her 4th in the 135lbs weight class. Sophomore Kaedence Mitchell does not place ending her season. Gahl and Frieden will compete in the IHSAA Girls State Tournament in Indianapolis at Corteva Coliseum, Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center on Friday, 01/17/25.
