Northfield Wrestlers Celebrate Senior Night, Defeating Southern Wells 56-17

The Northfield Wrestling Team, a united force, hosted the Southern Wells Raiders on Tuesday Night in Junior and Varsity action. The Norsemen, a tight-knit group, paid a heartfelt tribute to the 2025 Seniors for their outstanding contributions and program support. Ethan Bruce and Macie Overlander, integral parts of the team, were recognized for their roles as team managers. Additionally, the fans and teammates paid homage to Lindsey Dill, Ella Gahl, and Kameron Pratt for their four years of competition on the mat, showcasing the team's strong bond. Also, as part of the evening events, Ella Gahl signed her commitment letter to Manchester University to wrestle and study Pre-Med! The Norsemen Varsity squad beat Southern Wells 56 to 17. Freshmen Josh Lara-Menchaca and Ray Swick won, pinning their opponents. Junior Luke Eviston lost via pin. The Norsemen will next travel to Adams Central High School on Saturday, 01/11/25, to compete in the Indiana High School Wrestling Coaches Association Class 1A Team State Tournament. This prestigious tournament will feature some of the best high school wrestling teams in the state, and the Norsemen are eager to showcase their skills. Wrestling starts at 9:00 a.m., and we encourage all our supporters to come and cheer for the team.
