The 7th/8th grade Lady Norse had their home opener on Wednesday night against a very solid RJ Baskett team. The 7th grade girls lost to RJ Baskett 14-29. Leading the way for the Norse was Addy Hawkens and Lydia Dubois with 3 points, 2 rebounds, 1 steal and 3 points, 1 steal, & 1 block. Other players contributing were: Elaina Harrington - 2 points, 2 rebounds Bristal Foust - 2 points, 1 rebound Cheyanne Wells - 2 points, 1 steal Cora Barnard - 2 points, 2 rebounds Haylee Bucher - 1 rebound Maguire Dyson - 2 rebounds Eona Black - 1 The 8th grade Lady Norse played a very aggressive and fasted paced RJ Baskett team. The Norse were victorious winning 30-17. It was a great defensive effort by the whole team. Leading the way for the Norse was Gemma Haupert with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 1 block. Vivian Rife's 4 points came from a 4 point play after sinking a three from deep. She also had 2 assists & 2 steals. Avery Custer also had 4 points, 2 rebounds, & 1 steal. Tenley Kuhn had a huge defensive night with 6 rebounds, 4 steals, 1 point, and holding their best defender to single digit points.
