The Norfield's Lady Norsemen wrote a new chapter in history as they journeyed to Whitko High School for the 1st ANNUAL Wildcat Wrestling Invitational. The IHSAA's official sanctioning of girls' wrestling as a varsity sport in April paved the way for this momentous event. The Wildcat Invitational, the first competition of the 2024-2025 season, was a platform for the Lady Norsemen to showcase their talent, and they did not disappoint, with all six wrestlers placing in the top four of their respective weight classes. Place Finisher were Senior Ella Gahl (3-0) 1st place at 155lbs (B Bracket) Sophomore Amarha Frieden (4-0) 1st place at 135lbs Freshman Olia Leffert (2-1) 2nd place at 125lbs Senior Lindsey Dill (2-1) 2nd place at 155lbs (A Bracket) Junior Ella France (4-2) 4th place at 130lbs Sophomore Kaedence Mithell 4th place at 100lbs The Lady Norsemen travel to Fort Wayne Northside on Thursday, 11/14/24; wrestling starts at 6:00 pm.
