The Junior Varsity volleyball team finished second in the JV Northfield Invitational Saturday. The ladies beat Twin Lakes 19-25, 25-12, 15-8 to start the day, then they beat Western 25-18, 24-26, 15-11 to advance to the championship match against Norwell. The ladies battled hard but came up just short losing 26-24, 20-25. Leading the Norse in scoring for the day was Vivian Haupert with 27 points, 17 aces, MiKayla Meyer added 19 points, 3 aces, Mikaela Shoue had 17 points, 9 aces, Kyra Aderman had 15 points, 2 kills, Hayden Martin had 14 points, 5 kills, Saige Martin had 10 kills, 1 ace and Megan Easterday added 1 point. Kyra Aderman led in kills with 13, Hayden Martin followed with 10, MiKayla Meyer had 9, Saige Martin and MiKaela Shoue each added 7 kills, and Brinlei Swihart had 2 kills. Great job to both Vivian Haupert and Callie McClure for amazing sets throughout the day! The Norse are at home Tuesday against Peru. Let’s keep working hard ladies!
