Despite, the rainy weather Northfield persevered against Southwood in their first Junior High Meet of the year. The 8th grade girls team of Stella Stephens, Andrea Widemon, Kyra Aderman, and Kaleigh Rice really showed their prowess on the girls' side winning 47-40. The 8th grade boys team fought hard but fell short 33-75. Josh Lara-Menchaca, Ray Swick and Briggs Baker led the way for the 8th grade team scoring 1st place finishes. The 7th grade boys won 48-41. Coen Grant had an impressive debut for the 7th-grade boys coming in 1st in both the 110 M hurdles and 200 M dash. Liam Clark, Bode Sorg, Logan Holmes helped lead the Norse to victory scoring multiple 1st place finishs. 7th grade girls lost 40-66. Adalynn Hawkins, Sheila Smith and Emerson Zweibel led the 7th-grade girls' team with standout performances. Amazing effort put forth by the Northfield junior high track athletes!
