Baer's Birdies Bring Home Norsemen Second Win

Northfield Varsity Golf got their second win on the season Wednesday night in a Home match against Adams Central. The Norse collectively tallied a 161 through 9 holes to Adam's Central's 175. The Norsemen were led by Tyson Baer with a 34 (2 under par) to lead all players. Baer had 3 birdies for the second straight match with just 1 bogey on the Par 3 7th. Easton Shaw would finish second among all competitors with a 38. Shaw battled well scrambling for 8 pars in a row before settling for double bogey on the 9th. Gavin Brainard tallied 44 on the night with a strong short game to help his efforts, while Tristan Hoffman would come in next at 45 to round out the 161. The remaining Norsemen would all improve on their matches from the previous night starting with Ryder Schram's 48. Ethan Hoover improved by 4 strokes with a 56 while Issac Stakeman gained 6 shots from the night before. Cole Hobert rounded the night out with a 59 of his own. The Norsemen are now 2-0 on the year and will host Eastbrook at home on Monday.
