The Northfield Varsity Golf team kicked off their season with a bang shooting 154 as a team to beat the Huntington North Vikings on Tuesday Night. The Vikings would finish with a team score of 169. Easton Shaw earned individual medalist carding a 34(2 under par) through the 9 hole match. Shaw had 3 birdies and was unconscious with his putter and short game. Tyson Baer fought his way back to even par 36 on his night to finish behind only Shaw on the evening. Baer was just beginning to heat up as he birdied his last 3 holes. Tristan Hoffman and Gavin Brainard wouldn't disappoint as they both carded a pair of 42's to give the Norsemen their best 9 hole score since 2016. Ryder Schram finished out the Varsity scoring with an even 50, followed by Cole Hobert 56, Ethan Hoover 60, and Issac Stakeman 65. The Norse are back at Honeywell again Thursday night against Adams Central for a 5:00 start.
