The Northfield Varsity Wrestling took 11 wrestlers to compete in the 2024 IHSAA Sectional held at Peru High School Saturday, resulting in five advancing to Regionals, accounting for the highest number of wrestlers advancing to Regionals in the last five years! Freshman Eli Gahl went 2-1, placing 2nd at 126 pounds. Sophomore Tate Barlow went 3-1, placing 3rd at 138 pounds. Freshman Corbin Goshert went 3-1, placing 3rd at 144 pounds. Senior Layne Denton 2-2, placing 4th at 157 pounds. The true underdog of the day was Freshman Lucas Law, who went 3-1, placing 3rd at 113 pounds.
