7th Grade vs FW Carroll (14 - 39) Loss 7th Grade vs Edgewood Middle School (34 - 11) Win 8th Grade vs Edgewood Middle School (28 - 34) Loss 8th Grade vs FW Carroll (32 - 7) Win The Lady Norse traveled to Warsaw on Saturday to play against two very good teams in Edgewood and Carroll. The first game the Norse came out on fire and beat Edgewood 34-11. The Norse did a great job moving the ball around and getting many shots off during the whole game. The Norse were led by Gemma Haupert with 15 points, 10 rebounds, 3 steals. Avery Custer with 7 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals. Miranda Meyer with 6 points, 6 rebounds. Vivian Rife with 4 points, 4 rebounds, and Kassidy Cartwright with 2 points, 1 rebound.In the second game, the Norse played a very physical, big, and tall Carroll team. The Norse gave great effort. but ended up falling short 14-39. The Norse were led by Avery Custer with 6 points, Gemma Haupert with 4 points, and Miranda Meyer & Kassidy Cartwright had 2 points apiece. The Norse improve to 8-3 on the season and look to continue their momentum against Southwood on Tuesday. 8th Grade Lady Norse also went 1-1 for the day. The Lady Norse lost game 1 to Edgewood 34-28, leading most of the game, but could not hold onto the lead. They then beat Carroll 32-7. The Lady Norse shot very well from the free throw line for the day and that was big reason for their success. They are now 8-2 for the year and play at Southwood on Tuesday.
