The 8th Grade Lady Norse team traveled to Bluffton on Thursday and defeated the Bluffton Tigers 24-22. This was a team that beat them by 28 points last year. The difference was the defensive end of the court. The team remains unbeaten at 6-0 and will play a very good Oak Hill team on Monday night at Northfield. Here are the individual results: Emily Miller, 15 pts, 8 reb.; Teagan Baer, 8 pts, 10 reb, and 3 steals; Kyra Aderman, 1 pt and 2 reb.; Ali Copeland, 3 rebounds and 2 steals; Andrea Wideman, 2 reb, and took 1 charge; and Addi Wischman 1 steal. The 7th grade team faced a very strong Bluffton team on Thursday night also. The Lady Norse had an incredible first half defensively as they held the Tigers to only 7 points. The Norse battled all night, Gemma Haupert hit a free throw with 8 seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime. The team played hard but ended up falling short 32-37. The Lady Norse are also back in action on Monday, Jan. 15th at home.
