The 2025 reigning sectional champs returned to Arbor Trace Golf Club on Saturday morning to defend their title in the Sectional 10 championship. The Lady Norse had a tall task ahead of them being in the top group with two very competitive teams in Bluffton and Oak Hill. The Lady Norse pulled out the victory and are your 2026 Sectional Champions!! They came out on a top with a great team score of 355, and are the first girls golf team to ever win back to back sectional titles. The record books didn't seem good enough yet, as senior Addy Sorg decided she wanted to add more to it. She had herself the best day in her career, which came at a great time. Addy Sorg broke the 18-hole school record shooting a remarkable score of 77, which gave her the individual victory out of 55 golfers. She is your 2026 Sectional 10 Individual Champion! She is now the 2nd Northfield golfer to win a sectional title as an individual, as the last person to do it was Alex Cartwright, back in 2022. Sophomore Kassidy Cartwright had a strong 18 hole score for the Norse firing an 88 and earning her a very impressive 3rd place overall! Senior Ayla Dale fired a strong score as well with an 89. Junior Montgomrie Dawes fired a 101 and senior Vivian Haupert shot a 106. The Lady Norse are now at an astounding 58-3 record for the season. Their season stays alive as they now head to Noble Hawk Golf Links in Kendallville to compete in the 2026 Regional Championship on Friday, September 25th.
