Championship - Varsity vs Oak Hill High School (7 - 4) Win Gm 1 - Varsity vs Eastbrook High School (14 - 3) Win Mississinewa defeated Eastbrook 14 to 3 on Saturday in the first game of the Grant Four.. Deakon Dilts led off the game with a home run for the Indians and then Kohen Bailey singled also scoring a run. Indians took the lead at the top of the second inning after Eastbrook committed an error, followed by Kaiden Campbell doubling and Leyton Stearns singling each scoring a run the Indians. The Indians erupted for seven runs in the top of the fifth inning capped by Kaiden Campbells single scoring two runs. Kenny Ayala earned the win for the Indians surrendering three hits and three runs over four Innings, while striking out six and walking only four. Kohen Bailey tossed two innings of shutout ball for the Indians and he gave up one hit striking out three and walking one. Mississinewa defeated Madison Grant 7 to 4 on Saturday in the championship game of the grant 4. Deakon Dilts doubled in the second inning then again in the 7th inning and added a single in the first inning. The Indians got on the board in the top of the first thing after Kaiden Campbell grounded out and Kohen Bailey laid down a sacrifice bunt each scoring a run. The Indians added to the early lead in the top of the second after Nolan Quaderer tripled and Deakon Dilts doubled each scoring a run. In the top of the 7th the Indians broke open the tie when Mason Cox singled scoring two runs then a double by Campbell followed to extend the leads to seven to four. Kavion Martin earned the win for Mississinewa on the mound. The reliever surrendered one hit and one run over two innings striking out none and walking three. Camden Timmons started the game on the mound for Mississinewa. The starting pitcher allowed six hits and three runs over four Innings striking out one and walking three. Kaiden Campbell came in in the 7th to collect the save. the Indians accumulated 10 hits in the game Mason Cox and Kaiden Campbell were tough to handle back to back in the lineup as each drove in two runs for the Indians. Lio Matamoros collected two hits for the Indians. Deakon Dilts stole two bases and the Indians turned two double plays.
