Too many turnovers and an inability to hit from long range once again spelled doom for the Mustangs in a disappointing 64 - 56 loss to Indianapolis George Washington in the first game of Sectional play. Edgewood turned the ball over 22 times and connected on only 5 of 26 attempts from 3-point range in the game. Carl Norris and Kam Ranard led the scoring for the Mustangs with 14 and 12 points, respectively, while AJ Norris chipped in with 9. In addition, Owen McGovern scored 6 points, Carson Huttenlocker and Caden Jones had 5 points each, Will Inman scored 4 and Nolan Reynolds had 1 point to complete the scoring for Edgewood. Carl Norris also pulled down 7 rebounds to tie Jones for team-high honors on the boards, while McGovern and Ranard added 6 rebounds each. Reece Roberts and AJ Norris had 3 assists apiece to lead that category for the Mustangs. Edgewood ends their season with a 12 - 10 record.
