After the first quarter ended in a 11 - 11 tie, the Mustangs clamped down on the defensive end and held the visiting Eagles to just 2 points each in the 2nd and 3rd quarters on the way to a big 51 - 23 victory. On a night when Edgewood's shots also weren't falling, their defense held Brown County to 3 of 21 shooting in the second half, which allowed them to pull away despite their own below-average shooting. Kam Ranard scored 14 points to lead the Mustangs, while Carson Huttenlocker had 9 and Owen McGovern added 7. Finally, Caden Jones and Carl Norris both scored 5 points, Will Inman and Reece Roberts both had 4, and Carter Hayden had 3 points to complete the scoring for Edgewood. Ranard and Jones both pulled down 7 rebounds, while Roberts grabbed 6 and McGovern added 5. In addition, Inman had 6 steals, and Huttenlocker and McGovern added 3 apiece for the Mustangs. Edgewood's final game of the regular season is on Thursday evening, when they host Eastern Greene on Senior Night.
