JV Mustangs come up short at Martinsville

By Chuck Souder | Feb 11, 2025 10:56 PM

Turnovers spelled doom for the Edgewood JV in a disappointing 45 - 38 loss at Martinsville. The Mustangs had as many turnovers as made shots, which was not a winning formula. They also were only 5 of 15 from the free throw line, which didn't help the cause. Dylan Wickens led Edgewood with 13 points, while Evan Jacobs and Aiden Bing scored 6 points each and Carter Hayden added 5. Finally, Henry Norris scored 4 points and Jack Ripley and Trae Shields had 2 points apiece to complete the scoring for the Mustangs. Jacobs had 5 rebounds and Evan Enghauser added 4, while Hayden and Shields had 3 steals each to lead those categories for Edgewood. The Mustang JV will try to get back on track when they travel to Orleans on Saturday evening.
