The Edgewood JV turned in what was easily their best performance of the season with a 59 - 29 blowout of visiting West Vigo. The Mustangs used pressure defense to force early turnovers that led to a 15 - 2 advantage after one quarter, and then never let the Vikings recover as they didn't let up on defense and continued to attack the basket on offense. Carter Hayden and Dylan Wickens led the way for Edgewood with 17 points each, while Henry Norris added 8 points and Aiden Bing had 6. Finally, Trae Shields had 5 points, Eli Lirot scored 4 and Evan Jacobs had 2 points to round out the scoring for the Mustangs. Jacobs led the way on the boards by pulling down 8 rebounds while Hayden had 6 and Shields grabbed 5. Jacobs also passed out 4 assists, and Evan Enghauser had 3 steals to lead those categories. Edgewood is back in action on Thursday, February 6 when they travel to Bloomington North.
