The girls basketball team took an 8-1 and 6-0 record into highly regarded Northview on December 11th. Leading 15-7 with 7 seconds to go, the Lady Mustangs took a big hit losing 3 year starting point guard Madi Bland to an ACL. Northview went on to outscored Edgewood 34-16 to win the game. Edgewood returned home on the 14th to face Paoli. After a sluggish slow start, a 6-0 run with 2:19 to go in the first half cut Poali's lead to 2 then the Lady Mustangs put on a 3rd quarter blitz, outscoring the Lady Rams 22-10 by making 6 three pointers in the quarter. Edgewood finished with a 47-38 victory. On the 20th, a solid Indian Creek visited the Corral for another key WIC game. IC jumped out to a 17-8 first quarter lead and was able to hang on for a 49-39 win. Macey Crider nearly had three straight double doubles as she was one rebound shy, finishing this game with 20 points and 9 rebounds. Crider is the only player to reach double figures in the three game stretch. In the Paoli game, Ally Bland had 15 and Kyleigh Murphy 12. The Lady Mustangs will continue to get comfortable playing without their star point guard as they travel to Orleans on the 27th for a two game tournament.
