The JV Mustangs fell to 2 - 1 on the season, with a lackluster 52 - 47 loss to visiting Cascade. The game was tied at the half, but a 16 - 2 run by the Cadets to start the 3rd quarter put Edgewood in a hole they weren't able to recover from. The combination of missing layups on offense and giving up 3-pointers on defense proved to be too much to overcome. Carter Hayden scored 15 points and pulled down 4 rebounds to lead the Mustangs, while Aiden Bing added 11 points and 3 assists and Evan Jacobs scored 9 points to go along with 4 rebounds and 3 steals. Rounding out the scoring for Edgewood was Dylan Wickens and Karson Gladhill with 4 points apiece and Henry Norris and Evan Enghauser with 2 points each. The JV Mustangs will try to bounce back when they host Bloomfield on Saturday.
