Mustangs improve to 3 - 0 with 67 - 54 win over Cascade

Edgewood kept their early season train rolling with a wire-to-wire 67 - 54 win over visiting Cascade. The Mustangs steadily increased their lead each quarter - leading by 3, then 7, then 10 at the end of the first 3 quarters, then by 13 at the end of the game. Owen McGovern had another strong outing, scoring 18 points, grabbing 8 rebounds and dishing out 3 assists, while Carson Huttenlocker added 10 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals for Edgewood. In addition, Kam Ranard, Caden Jones, and Nolan Reynolds scored 8 points each, with Ranard also pulling down 8 boards and Jones adding 6, and Reynolds swiping 3 steals. Finally, Will Inman scored 6 points, AJ Norris had 5, and Carl Norris and Dylan Wickens each had 2 points to complete the scoring for the Mustangs. Edgewood has a quick turnaround and will try to continue their winning ways when the host Bloomfield on Saturday evening.
