The JV Mustangs began their season on a high note, with a big 49 - 20 win at Cloverdale. Edgewood's pressure defense and patience on offense against the Clover's zone defense allowed the Mustangs to get several easy baskets on the way to their victory. Carter Hayden got Edgewood off to a fast start by scoring the first 8 points of the game and finished with 9 points, while Aiden Bing and Dylan Wickens led the Mustangs with 14 and 12 points, respectively. In addition, Henry Norris scored 6 points, Evan Jacobs had 4, and Karson Gladhill and Eli Lirot had 2 points each to round out the scoring. Jacobs led the way on the glass with 7 rebounds, while Evan Enghauser grabbed 6, and Hayden added 4. Finally, Hayden had 4 assists and Jacobs had 5 steals to lead those categories for the Mustangs. Edgewood next plays tonight when they travel to North Putnam.
