The girls basketball team won a physical, grind it out kind of game at home Saturday versus the Linton Minors. Linton took a 15-13 lead after the first quarter but scored only 15 points over the last three as Edgewood, despite their own poor offensive performance, relied on their defense for the win. Macey Crider had 13 and Ally Bland 11 to lead the way. Kyleigh Murphy and Madi Bland each chipped in 7 and Ava LaRoche had 5, including a big three pointer down the stretch. Crider pulled down 8 rebounds and Ally Bland had 7, while Madi and Ally both had 3 assists. Madi also had 4 steals. The 5 game road trip begins Tuesday at Bloomfield for a varsity only game at 6:30.
