EHS Boys Tennis Loses to BHSN 1-4

It was a hot and humid night at BHSN on Tuesday as EHS Boys Tennis took the court. The lone victory for EHS came at 1 singles by Andrew Paul. He beat North's Ben Kanisky 6-2, 6-1. Andrew played well and took control early in the match. He looked in control of points and it seemed like he could get to and return about anything that Kanisky threw at him. At 2 singles, Dane Weisner played well, but eventually fell to Dev Chopra 2-6, 3-6. His match saw a lot of games go to multiple deuces. The match felt tighter than the score makes it look. At 3 singles, Austin Nunn lost to Esteban Crespa 2-6, 1-6. This was a great match for Austin. Most points had rallies of 10-15 shots. I was proud of how hard Austin played. The scores for the doubles were as follows: at 1 doubles Jaylin Luedemann and Cam Abel lost to Keton O'Connell and Leo Yonkman 2-6, 2-6 and at 2 doubles Carter Walker and Ryne Klinger lost to Ramsey Mills and Hersh Patel 0-6, 1-6. The EHS doubles teams have multiple new players to Varsity and each match is a learning opportunity for what to expect and how to react to in-game situations. The guys are learning quickly, though.
