After leading throughout the game, the Mustangs fell just short when it mattered most in a heart-breaking 46 - 43 loss to visiting Indianapolis George Washington. Edgewood led by 10 points with under 3 minutes to play, but a rash of late-game turnovers allowed the game to slip away. Caden Jones led the way with 18 points, but no other Mustang reached double figures. Carter Hayden scored 7 points, Evan Jacobs had 6, Luke Druckrey and Karson Gladhill scored 3 points each, and Dylan Wickens, AJ Norris, and Reece Roberts all had 2 points to complete the scoring. Jacobs pulled down a team-high 9 rebounds while Druckrey added 8 boards, 3 assists, and 3 steals. Hayden also had 3 assists for the Mustangs. Edgewood is back in action on Tuesday evening when they travel to Bloomfield.
