Edgewood found themselves in an 18 - 4 hole to start the game that they could never quite dig their way out of in a 79 - 69 loss at South Putnam. The Eagles came out firing on all cylinders - hitting their first 7 shots from the field (five from 2-point range and two from 3-point range) and though the Mustangs mounted several challenges, they couldn't ever fully recover. AJ Norris led Edgewood with 17 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals, while Caden Jones added 16 points. In addition, Reece Roberts scored 12 points to go along with 4 assists, Dylan Wickens had 10 points, and Zane Powell scored 6. Finally, Luke Druckrey scored 3 points and had 4 rebounds, Carter Hayden also scored 3, and Evan Jacobs had 2 points to complete the scoring for the Mustangs. Edgewood next plays when they host Greencastle on Wednesday evening.
