The Edgewood JV led most of the way, but not when it mattered most in a heart-breaking 38 - 37 loss to visiting Martinsville. The Mustangs led by a point with 1.1 seconds to play, but then gave up a layup on the ensuing out of bounds play to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Jack Ripley led Edgewood with 10 points, with Karson Gladhill and Zane Powell scoring 6 points apiece and Luke Druckrey and Cam Christie adding 5 points each. Finally, Dylan Wickens scored 3 points and Henry Norris had 2 to complete the scoring for the Mustangs. Edgewood will try to get back in the win column when they travel to Indian Creek on Friday.
