Boys High School Team Races Well At Eagle Classic

The boys high school cross country team traveled to Brown County for the Eagle Classic on Saturday morning. The meet is known for hosting excellent competition from around the state. For this meet the team was split across two divisions. Caidan Burchett, Isaiah Cordes, Ezra Church, and Kamden Oswalt competed in the Elite Race based on their personal best times of the season. To enter the race as an individual you must have a 5k PR of 16:30 or better. Caidan led the way finishing in 27th place followed by Isaiah (41st), Ezra (52nd), and Kamden (76th). There were 187 runners in the race. Maverick Sommers, Landen Fisher, and Kalib Mabery competed in the varsity race. Maverick ran an excellent race, determined to push the pace from the gun. He finished in 47th with a new PR in the process. Landen also came through with a strong performance coming in 73rd. Kalib finished in 105th with a solid effort. There were 125 runners in the field The Apaches will be back in action Saturday at the West Noble Invite
