Wabash High School

The Lady Apaches Track team competed Saturday at the IWU #2 qualifier. Leading the way for the Lady Apaches was the 4X800 relay team (Friend, Cooper, Fairchild & Daughtry) with a 16th place finish and a top 24 place in the IATCC standings. The 4000 meter DMR (Beamer, Tart, Bailey & Daughtry) earned an 18th place finish. The 4X400 meter relay (Friend, Alvarez, Rodriguez-Pezuela, Wright) finished with a top 20 finish. The 2 x 200 meter relay( Wright, Alvarez, Jones & Stumbo) was very competitive until an injury ended the run. Mia Fairchild finished just outside the 13 minute cutoff. Janika Stumbo and Ayanna Sellers both had strong performances in the 60 meter dash. Ava Bishir had a fantastic opening time in the 60 meter hurdles matching her time from last season. Brylee Fagan & Alexis Indrutz both competed hard in the shot put.
