The running Lady Apaches traveled to Manchester for the Three Rivers Conference meet Saturday morning. With cool weather and sunshine, the girls were able to beat the heat of the day to get in their morning race. The girls geared themselves up to race hard amongst their conference competitors. As the gun went off, the Apaches began the race with speed, hitting their mile one and mile two marks with ease! Mile three proved to be a challenge, but one that was no match for the running lady Apaches. The girls came into the shoot one after another, leaving it all out on the course! The girls ended up taking fourth place in the conference as a team! First for the team was sophomore, Mia Fairchild, receiving Conference recognition by placing 12th, with a career PR time of 21:28. Next up was our team senior, Ivy Beamer, with a time of 23:03 and placing 22nd overall. Coming right behind her was a junior, Haylee Friend, who came in 23rd place with a season PR time of 23:04. Following in behind her was Mallory Tart, with a time of 24:03 in 28th place. Chasing down Tart was Maya Howard, with a time of 24:10. Howard finished in as the 29th individual. Right behind her was Josie Bailey, a sophomore, in 32nd place with a time of 24:33 and rounding out the Apache crew. The Apaches battled it out in their final regular season meet. Up next, the girls will be running in two weeks at Sectionals!
