Boys Soccer ties North Miami

The Wabash Boys Soccer Team earned a tie against North Miami on Senior Night Monday. The Apaches put 9 shots on goal but the only one to find the net was a Prestyn Jones penalty kick in the second half. Wabash found themselves down 1-0 midway through the first half despite holding the edge in possession. The North Miami counterattack had taken a toll on the Wabash backline resulting in the go-ahead goal. But Wabash came out strong in the second half and used their passing game to get several quality chances before the Jones equalizer. Ty Carpenter recorded 7 shots, but his passing made the difference for Wabash. Carpenter, Derek Reed, Edin Choc, and Owen Honeycutt dominated in the middle of the field with patience ball movement and creative runs. Jake Vandegrift faced only 3 shots on goal all night surrendering the goal on a rebound after a diving stop. Wabash wraps up the regular season on Thursday when they travel to Carroll (Flora).
