Wabash High School

The Wabash Lady Apaches win 4-1 over Tri-Central. Wabash struck first, with Graci Napier putting away a penalty kick awarded for a defensive handball in the box. Soon After Tri-Central put a goal on Wabash and through the Lady Apaches kept the offensive pressure on, Wabash still found themselves 1-1 at halftime. Wabash was able to capitalize on the pressure in the 2nd half and continued to break down Tri-Central's defense. Brookelynn Buzzard worked the ball through the defense and found the back of the net unassisted. Buzzard then completed her hat-trick off fantastic balls from Graci Napier and Logan Wright, who each earned an assist. Jaycee Jones was very strong tonight and again anchored our defense along with Samantha Walter, Colleena Meadows and Wright. Raegan Jones joined the Lady Apaches on the field tonight and provided a great spark for them. Shots on goal tonight came from Buzzard, Napier, Raegan Jones, Kait Honeycutt, Meadows and Brenda Alspach. Olivia Braun and Kait Honeycutt were both in goal tonight, with Honeycutt earning 6 saves. Wabash improves to 8-5 on the season and continue their play at home Saturday at 10am, as they host Eastern HS.
