The Wabash High School Boys Cross Country Team placed 5 runners in the top 15 and won the Manchester Invitational Saturday morning with a score of 49. A trio of Apache runners crossed the line in succession lead by Isaiah Cordes in 6th place, Jonas Church in 7th ,and Jace Bullins in 8th. This triple threat put the Apaches in a great spot. Not far behind was the duo of Brett Shull and Caidan Burchett who came in 13th and 15th respectively. These two worked together throughout the race and narrowed the gap between the first three Wabash runners culminating in only a 45 second gap between the first five Wabash runners. Kamden Oswalt - the top freshmen in the race, continues his season improvement coming in 32nd place. Brother Kasen Oswalt ran to a 32nd place finish with a consistently great effort. Matthew Niles races fiercely to a 63rd place finish and Maverick Sommers who destroyed his previous best performance comes in 109th. There were 193 runners in the race. The Apaches travel to the Eagle Classic in Brown County next Saturday.
