Wabash High School

The Wabash Lady Apaches picked up a 2-1 road win against the Marion Giants. Wabash found the first goal of the game with an Abbie Hipskind assist to Brookelynn Buzzard. Marion found the equalizer before the half putting the score at 1-1 at halftime. The Lady Apaches improved their touches and their intensity in the 2nd half with multiple goal scoring opportunities. Anna Daughtry drew a foul in the box for a Wabash penalty kick and Buzzard put that away for the game-winning goal. Shots on goal tonight came from Buzzard and Gracie Napier. Goalkeeper Kait Honeycutt had another solid game with 8 saves. Great work from the defense of Samantha Walter, Jaycee Jones, Colleena Meadows and Abbie Hipskind, along with Emma Weaver and Raegan Jones playing very strong for Wabash. Anna Daughtry again played a strong defensive game as well as giving multiple offensive sparks. The Lady Apaches improve to 4-2 on the season and 2-1 in the TRC. Wabash continues their conference play at home on Thursday hosting Northwestern.
