McCann and Perkins lead Wabash Swimmers at Oak Hill

While in the most difficult practice and training period on the season, the Wabash Swim Team posted multiple season and personal bests at the Oak Hill Invitational. Wabash was led by sophomore Cael McCann's wins in the 100 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke and Senior Nick Perkins' win in the 50 Freestyle. The Wabash 200 Medley Relay team (McCann, Chase Howard, Perkins, and Isaiah Jones) and 200 Free Relay (McCann, Jones, Howard, and Perkins) were also victorious, achieving season best times in both events. Other notable swims include 2nd place and personal record by Isaiah Jones in the 100 Freestyle, 3rd place and season best by Chase Howard in the 200 IM, personal record by Lucas Coffman in the 50 Freestyle, personal records by Mia Fairchild in the 50 Freestyle and 100 Freestyle, personal records by Hank Gray (Northfield) in the 50 Freestyle and 100 Breaststroke, 2nd place by Nick Perkins in the 100 Butterfly, personal record by Chaz Harris in the 100 Butterfly, personal record by Abbi Hipskind in the 100 Freestyle, season best by Nonoka Higuera in the 500 Freestyle, season best by Chase Howard in the 100 Breaststroke, season best by the Girls 200 Medley Relay team of Hipskind, Rinka Higuera, N. Higuera, and Elli Hall, and season best by the Girls 200 Free Relay team of Hipskind, Hall, R. Higuera, and N. Higuera. Wabash swims in the Three Rivers Conference Championships at Maconaquah on Saturday, January 20.
