Lady Golfers Secure First Win of the Season at Rock Hollow The girls golf team put it all together on the course to capture their first victory of the season, taking down Peru with a team score of 215–243 at Rock Hollow Golf Club. After battling through a tough schedule to start the year 0-3, the team's hard work paid off as they officially moved to 1-3 on the season. Freshmen Surge and Big Highlights While veteran leader Kaitlyn Brewer paced the field with a match-low 44 placing second overall the story of the day was the standout play from our freshman core. Freshman Zoey Burns delivered the shot of the day on the par-4 17th. After a clean drive and a crisp 6-iron to the green, she calmly drained a 12-foot putt to register her very first competition birdie! Burns carded a impressive 53 in the win. Fellow freshmen Lilith Brookshire and Camille Coffman both delivered clutch, matching rounds of 59, showing incredible poise under pressure and proving that the team's future is bright.
