Coleson Kugler Ends Historic Career At Track State Finals

Wabash High School senior Coleson Kugler ended his spectacular high school track career Saturday at the state finals in Indianapolis finishing 12th in the 200 meter dash. This is the 3rd consecutive year that Coleson represented the Apaches in the 200 meter dash. The numbers don't lie. Coleson is the most successful sprinter in the history of Wabash County to date. His achievements include: All state in the 200 meter dash (7th place in '25) All state in the 100 meter dash (9th place in '25) 2x state qualifier in the 100 meter dash ('24, '25) 3x state qualifier in the 200 meter dash ('24, '25, '26) 2x Indiana All-Star ('25, '26) 3x Sectional Champion in the 200 meter dash ('24, '25, '26) 2x Regional Champion in the 200 meter dash ('25, '26) 4x TRC Champion in the 100 meter dash - from freshmen to senior year ('23, '24, '25, '26) 3x TRC Champion in the 200 meter dash ('24, '25, '26) 2x TRC Champion in the 400 meter dash ('25, '26) As good as Coleson was on the track, he was an even better man off of it. His character and how he carried himself is an inspiration to all who knew him. Humility, compassion, and drive are words that embody what Coleosn stands for and he showed that in the interactions he had with everyone. Coleson will continue his academic and athletic career at Marian University.
