Mackey Sorg Of Wabash Varsity Apaches Shuts Out Lewis Cass

Mackey Sorg didn't allow a single run as defeated Lewis Cass 6-0 on Wednesday at Eastern High School. Sorg allowed just one hit. Treyce Daughtry collected three hits in three at bats in the win. Daughtry singled in the second inning, singled in the fourth inning, and singled in the seventh inning. Wabash Varsity Apaches jumped out to the lead in the top of the second inning after Jake Sailors hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and Daughtry singled, scoring two runs. Wabash Varsity Apaches added one run in the third. Sorg singled to center field on an 0-2 count, making the score 4-0. Kaison Hipsher-walker took the loss for Lewis Cass. The starter went two and one-third innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on three hits, striking out two and walking three. Cooper Long led Wabash Varsity Apaches with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up six walks for the game. Wabash Varsity Apaches stole four bases in the game.
