Girls Varsity Soccer Wins 4-1 Over Peru

The Wabash Girls Varsity Soccer team wins 4-1 in their final conference game of the season at Peru. Junior goalkeeper Olivia Braun had 10 saves on the night and did a great job for the Lady Apaches. Defense was also lead by senior Kiana Jones, Juniors Macy VonUhl and Graci Napier and sophomore Jaycee Jones. Freshman Lily Meadows provided 40+ minutes off the bench to contribute defensively too. K.Jones pushed forward offensively tonight and provided scoring opportunities the entire game for Wabash. Senior Natalie Adams put away 2 goals night, one unassisted and one penalty shot that she earned after being taken down in the box. Junior Kait Honeycutt also scored 2 goals tonight, one unassisted and the other a one-touch volley to the back of the net off a K. Jones corner. Shots on goal tonight also by juniors Abbi Hipskind and Emma Weaver and sophomores Logan Wright and Raegan Jones. Wabash improves to 5-4-1 on the season and are right back in action tomorrow night at Tri-Central.
