Wabash Boys Soccer wins 1-0 over Blackford

Wabash Boys Soccer picked up their third win of the season along with their third shutout Thursday night over Blackford. Max Carpenter scored in the second half on one of several break-aways he had during the game. Carpenter manufactured the goal after forcing a turnover about 40 yards from goal. Will Galley led the Apaches with 5 shots and Caleb Daugherty had three of his own including a header off a Ty Carpenter corner which forced a dramatic save by the Blackford keeper. Isaac Byers recorded his third clean sheet collecting 6 saves. Derek Reed and Prestyn Jones held down the center of the defense for the Apaches. Wabash faces TRC and county rival Manchester Saturday morning for a 10 am kickoff at Alumni field.
