Sorg was dominant on the mound, as the pitcher rang up 12 strikeouts in Wabash Varsity Apaches's 11-5 victory over Blackford on Saturday. Sorg allowed six hits and four runs over six innings while walking none. Wabash Varsity Apaches opened the scoring in the top of the third thanks to two singles. Wabash Varsity Apaches first got on the board when Reed singled, scoring one run. Wabash Varsity Apaches scored five runs on zero hits in the top of the sixth inning. Reed drew a walk, scoring one run, Sorg drew a walk, scoring one run, Harris drew a walk, scoring one run, Cressell was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and Long was struck by a pitch, driving in a run. Norton took the loss for Blackford. The hurler went five innings, surrendering five runs (two earned) on three hits, striking out six and walking four.
